Our Story
Where these things come from
The Second Turn Project started with a simple observation: storage units get auctioned, estates get cleaned out, and perfectly good things end up in dumpsters. Not because they're broken — but because nobody had the time, space, or resources to deal with them.
We step in at that moment. We bid on storage unit contents, take on estate cleanouts, and source surplus goods in and around Rutland, VT. What we find, we bring back to the shop.
From there, everything gets cleaned, inspected, and — where relevant — functionally tested. Electronics get plugged in. Tools get checked. Dishes get washed. Only once we're satisfied does an item get photographed and listed, with an honest description that reflects its real condition.
We sell locally (pickup and delivery available in Rutland) and ship nationwide through eBay, where we've built a 100% positive feedback record one honest transaction at a time.
The work is unglamorous. The mission isn't: keep useful things out of the waste stream, put them in the hands of people who want them, and build a business worth trusting.
